Learn About Me

I will be graduating from the University of Virginia in May 2025 with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Computer Science. I have grown as a leader, collaborator, and problem solver over the last few years, and I am grateful for the opportunities I have had at UVA and abroad. My classes have prepared me well to think analytically and understand data structures and algorithms. It has been satisfying to use my skills to understand real world problems such as the spread of epidemics and heat exposure at the Biocomplexity Institute at UVA. I have gained valuable skills while working with colleagues to achieve academic as well as artistic goals. It has been important to me to learn from a variety of perspectives for example while creating video games with my classmates in Copenhagen or designing and running production for a large musical. I enjoy following my passions to help make the world a better place and plan to continue to in my work and personal ventures.

I am currently looking for full time employment in software development.

What I do

Skills

Coding

Experienced in developing well-structured, efficient code for large scale projects at work, in classes, and for fun.

Data

I am familiar with SQL database querying and have accessed large population datasets in order to create and analyze visualizations.

Project Management

Through diverse experiences as a leader and collaborator, I have learned how to set goals and delegate work to achieve an end result.

Mathematical Thinking

Through rigorous courses at UVA discussing set theory, logic, and proofs I have developed excellent problem solving skills.

My Resume

Working Experience

August 2024 - Present

Undergraduate Research Assistant

UVA Biocomplexity Institute, Charlottesville, VA

I am currently working with Samarth Swarup to visualize geospatial and temperature data to analyze temperature and flooding health effects with and without activity modeling. We plan to use machine learning to predict future outcomes and write up our findings.

June 2024 - Present

Computing for Global Challenges Intern

UVA Biocomplexity Institute, Charlottesville, VA

As part of the Summer 2024 Computing for Global Challenges program, I built tools in Python to visualize massive networks of simulated epidemic transmissions. I presented and discussed results and challenges weekly with other researchers and interns culminating in a poster session.

January 2024 - Present

Lighting Production Assistant

UVA Drama Department, Charlottesville, VA

By hanging and cabling lights and more in 3 different theater spaces, I have learned aspects of theatrical lighting hands-on: parts and functions of instruments, programming cues, and design.

November 2023 - Present

Producer

First Year Players, Charlottesville, VA

I act as the primary representative of FYP (official University organization) and oversee Production, Technical, and Artistic Staff.
In order to coordinate all aspects of FYP to produce a full length musical per semester and maintain the organization’s vision, I schedule and lead meetings, develop goals and budgets, collect feedback, and implementing relevant changes.

August 2023 - December 2023

DIS Study Abroad

Copenhagen, DK

I worked in teams to design 2D and 3D games using Unity in Video Game Development and learned about and developed search algorithms using Python in Artifical Intelligence.

2D Platformer 3D Escape Game
January 2023 - May 2024

Teaching Assistant

University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA

I assisted Professor Elizabeth Orrico with Discrete Mathematics and Theory (CS 2120) for 2 semesters.
I wrote and graded assignments regularly on set theory, proof writing, logic, relations, etc.
Weekly, I held office hours and guided students through proofs and to a deeper understanding of discrete mathematics.
